It is beautiful and other worldly as my heart desires a book about a Holy place like Lourdes to be. But Christy is raw and honest with her fears, her doubts, and speaks to the depths of my heart that has faced so much suffering. Her words remind me that there is always hope. It may not come in the form of physical healing, but God is always pursuing the healing of our wounded hearts. Christy writes poetically with imagery, humor, and wit. It spoke to my heart because it was so honest and not sugar coated. Christy's struggle with her faith resonated with me as I have raised my son with disabilities. The journey to Lourdes provides a different healing than hoped for or expected, but a healing none the less. I have read 86 books this year and this was my favorire by far. Highly recommended!
